Air conditioning is what Davis Automotive is known for. We have been diagnosing and repairing vehicle A/C in North Dallas for six decades.
A Dallas summer finds every weak point in a vehicle air conditioning system. We diagnose the whole circuit rather than guessing at it — pressures on both sides, compressor engagement, blend door operation, cabin airflow, and an electronic leak check before anything gets recharged. That is how you avoid paying for the same repair twice.
Rick Davis built this business around A/C and electrical work, and it remains our strongest specialty. We handle compressor and clutch replacement, condenser and evaporator work, hose and line repair, expansion valve and orifice tube service, and blower motor and resistor failures. We also work on the heating side: heater cores, thermostats, and coolant flow problems that leave you with cold air in January.
Every A/C job includes a digital inspection you can read on your phone, with photos of what we found. You approve the work before we start it.
Most often low refrigerant from a slow leak, but it can also be a failed compressor clutch, a blend door actuator stuck on heat, or an electrical fault. We test rather than assume, because a recharge on a leaking system is money thrown away.
Not without finding the leak first. Refrigerant does not get consumed — if the level is low, it went somewhere. We locate the leak, quote the repair, and recharge to factory specification afterward.
A diagnosis and recharge is usually same day. Compressor or evaporator replacement depends on the vehicle; we will give you a firm time estimate once we know what failed.
Tell us what's going on and pick a time. We'll confirm and send a digital inspection when your vehicle's in the shop.
